You will learn some basic information about silk gauze, practice 3 stitches from the Tent stitch family, experiment with different silk, cotton, viscose (rayon) threads. Applied beads, ribbon, chenille, metal threads will be combined to create exciting textured surfaces.

The purpose of this on-line course “Christmas Joy” is to use your imagination creating a piece (or all three) of heirloom for your dollhouse miniature Christmas setting. After using different stitches and applying different materials you will have OOAK miniature Christmas stockings that will be treasured through the years.

The kit that accompanies the course includes all the materials you need to stitch 3 miniature Christmas Stockings. Along the way, watching the videos, you will discover lots of helpful tips to ensure a professional finish to your work.

The kit contains all sufficient material to finish 3 miniature Christmas stockings: not framed silk gauze 48 count, DMC, Sulky, Gutermann threads, Gold Metal thread, antique 1 mm beads, chenille, ribbon, backing, needles, charts with color symbols. One mini toy is included in each kit.

This course is a combination of lots of color photo steps outs of inspiration, techniques and process, and video learning (demos).
