Join us on this creative journey as we navigate through a year of diverse themes and hands-on learning experiences in the art of miniature needlework.
All courses are held in our Miniature Textile Art Studio.
The month of January 2025 will be devoted to Needlepoint in Miniature. We’ll talk Needlepoint vs. Petit Point, learn new stitches and see how they could be applied in miniature scale.
Joining our exciting Needlepoint in Miniature course in January 2025, students will dive into the world of miniature needlepoint, feel the difference between needlepoint and petit point, and discover artistry and precision required to create intricate designs in a small scale. Throughout the course, participants will learn various needlepoint stitches and techniques tailored specifically for miniature projects.
The highlight of the workshop is the hands-on project where students will create a stunning miniature pillow depicting a whimsical scene of Santa Clause peeking into a frosty window of a house surrounded by evergreen trees. The bright stars are shining in the corners of the pillow.
Through guided instruction and demonstrations, participants will master the art of needlepoint in scale, carefully capturing the details of Santa's face and the frosty window scene. The finishing technique of the pillow will be shown.
By the end of the workshop, students will have not only gained a deeper understanding of needlepoint in scale but also completed a miniature masterpiece that showcases their newfound skills and creativity.
Needlepoint in Miniature course promises to be a delightful and rewarding experience for anyone eager to explore the intricacies of miniature needlework.
As a bonus, the pattern (only) of a matching pair of wonderful slippers that depict Santa as well will be provided for those who sign up for the course.
The price of the workshop is $110 with KIT and free domestic shipping included.
The registration for the Needlepoint in Miniature course is opened from December 16, 2024 till December 30, 2024.
The course will be available from January 15, 2025 (to give us time to ship the kits in a timely manner), till January 15, 2026. You will work at your own pace and reach me with any questions if necessary.
Happy stitching, and remember:
