2025 Stitching Calendar: 80-days update

Tracking my stitching time and progress has been an essential part of staying motivated and organized.

Here is an update on first 80 days of 2025 stitching calendar.

I use a combination of journaling and digital apps to log my stitching hours for each project, and set goals for the next stitching session that starts each week.

My stitching journal is a go-to tool where I write down what projects I worked on, I have been working on, I am working on and I am planning to work on, how many hours are spent on each task, and any thoughts or techniques I experimented with. This method not only keeps me accountable but also provides a space for reflection, where I can look back and see how far I’ve come and how long to go still. I also use a time-tracking app to help me record the exact hours I spend stitching, making it easier to track my productivity over time.

In addition to journaling and apps, I also use a visual tracker to keep my progress in front of me.

This year I came up with a simple table with 400 small squares where each square represents a day in a year. I mark a square with a color if I stitched that day. After 20 days of coloring the 2025 stitching calendar, I realized it would be more comfortable for me if I devote a special color to each project I am working on. I prioritized my goals and chose several projects I am currently working on and off. Each project received its color, as you can see on the image.

Now, looking at the visual table of stitching, I can recognize by a color what projects were stitched. Some squares have 2 colors. It means I worked on 2 projects that day. I also started adding a number of hours that were spent on that particular project. And, yes, there are days I stitch up to 9-12 hours.

This visual representation of progress gives me a sense of achievement and motivates me to keep going. Seeing how much I've accomplished encourages me to continue working toward completing a project. Whether through handwritten notes, a time-tracking app, or a visual chart, tracking my stitching time and progress has been a key factor in staying focused and organized. Knowing that I’m moving forward, one stitch at a time, gives me the confidence to stay on track and continue making time for stitching.

Tracking my progress not only reminds me of how far I've come with each project but also helps me stay on schedule by providing clear milestones. This visual feedback acts as a constant reminder of my goals, making it easier to prioritize stitching process and progress. Each small achievement, each small colored square builds momentum, making it easier to maintain my focus and stay committed to the next stitching project.

If you decide to join along here is a form for you.
